The Status Feature allows
radio-users to select and transmit CPS-defined
Status messages to the Fixed Network Equipment (FNE) / dispatcher. When
the dispatcher receives the Status message, an appropriate acknowledgment
response is sent. Upon receipt of this response, the radio provides audible
and visual indications that the Status was acknowledged.
